On Monday, after work, I came home, did my normal internet check, which includes email, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc. This time, though, when I looked at my MySpace account as half-heartedly as I normally go, I saw a blog post from Jason and thought I saw “Cincinnati” in the title, but disregarded it as my eyes playing tricks on me but when I went back to my homepage and saw the blog entry again, it surely did say Cincinnati. Of course, I read it. In short, it said that they were going to be in Cincinnati on Friday at the Barnes & Noble at Newport on the Levee. Yes, I know, that’s not Cincinnati, in fact it’s Kentucky, but they don’t know any better.

Happily, I called my mother moments after and asked if she would watch Sean during that time. Good thing I didn’t take him either, because Andrey and I were standing in the blistering heat for 2 hours before we even got to meet them.

So Andrey and I get there, and as stated, stood in line for 2 hours in the heat and starving half to death. Finally, it was our turn to “meet” them. Grant shook my hand as he did with everyone else and Jason passed my two books and photo around for them all to sign. Then, it happened. Grant pulled out his iPhone and snapped a photo of Andrey because Andrey wore his bitchin’ 8-bit Mario shirt and apparently Grant was a fan of it. GRANT took a picture of ANDREY! I can guarantee that Dre was the only person that day that THEY took a photo of.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get my photo taken with them because no one was allowed around the backside of the table, but I did get my pictures of them and my two books and photo signed. Andrey also gave me his photo that he got signed too, so all in all, I made out like a bandit.

It was a great experience and it seemed like Jason and Grant seemed genuinely happy towards each fan they met.

I’m also waiting/hoping that Grant posts that photo of Andrey on Twitter, because that is one screenshot I am hoping to get! Can you believe it? Grant Wilson has a picture of my best bud on HIS iPhone!? That bastard!
