The Finished Product : Sean’s Room
Last weekend, I spent 3 solid days painting Sean’s room. In the beginning, I decided to go with blue and green stripes. I even got as far as to tape off and paint all the green stripes, but once I was finished, Chris and I didn’t like the green paint. We thought it looked like toothpaste and we have a green lamp in the room that was totally conflicting with the color. So, the next day, I began pulling the blue painters tape off and painting over the green. By the way, Blue Painters Tape doesn’t always come off smoothly, in fact, it pulled off some of my drywall. Grr! Anyways, I spent all of the following day painting everything blue. I would have been done but it took a little more paint than I originally thought to paint over the green. So, I finished painting the entire room on the third day after work.
Now, all that’s left are a few touch-ups around the top of the room, but I’ve already re-hung all the shelves and put everything back. You can check out the photos below of the finished product. I plan to add a green IKEA bookshelf I saw that I want to put Sean’s books on and some more decorative items.
This is the green shelf from IKEA that I am going to buy and hang on the wall next to the window above the glider to put his Dr. Seuss books on!
