Mission : Sean’s 2nd Birthday ACCOMPLISHED
I survived the day! The past 3 days I have been working nearly non-stop on preparing for Sean’s big 2nd Birthday Bash! I am exhausted and it was very well worth it. Sean seemed to have a good time and I think all the guests did too.
Sean made out like a bandit and got some really great gifts. The theme this year with the gifts seemed to be arts and crafts. He got some finger paints (gee, thanks Nikki), construction paper, crayola coloring toys, aquadoodle toys, etc. He also got a Tri-Cycle, some clothes an awesome bath tug boat toy from Mallory which I love and some always needed educational things. He also got his first set of Hot Wheels, which I will be going to IKEA soon to buy the road rug for his cars.
The cake was fantastic and was made by a friend of mine’s wife. I am completely satisfied with how it turned out. I showed her a picture of what I’d like and she re-created it. It tasted so good too.
Lots of food for the guests. The big hit seemed to be my tasty meatballs. I also made Skyline Dip, hanky pankys, pigs in a blanket and some odds and ends like pretzels and a cheese and meat tray with various types of pop.
The only catastrophe was when my father knocked a shelf off of my wall that had a commemorative wine bottle my husband had gotten in Europe and some wine glasses. This also scratched up my wall a bit. Later in the evening, after everyone left, I told my husband that I thought it was about time we painted the kitchen.
Check out some photos below. Also, there will also be a photo album in my gallery as well, so be sure to check those out!
