Out With the Old…

2008 is closing to an end and it seems like it’s gone by so quickly. It seems like yesterday that Chris and I sold our house and trekked our way 700 miles with an infant to live in Cincinnati but it’s been over 8 months and 3 seasons later. Where has the time gone? Well, I can’t complain too much, most of 2008 has been great to us and I look forward to 2009.

In 2008, we started the year off with selling our house and moving to my hometown and both starting new, great jobs. I am thankful that we’re now close enough for my mother to watch Sean during the day while we work. Over the course of the twelve months, Sean has begun sitting up, crawling and now walking and saying a few words and so many more other milestones. I look forward to the milestones to come. By the time 2009 comes, he will be 13 months and 20 days. He’s growing so quickly.

I got my new car this year and also had a semi cause an accident that I was involved in, but my car is fine anyways. Gotta take the bad with the good it seems. Sold our house in 2008 and will be buying/building a new one in 2009. Reconnected with old friends and lost touch with some others. Went from the BlackBerry Pearl to the BlackBerry Curve and plan to head to the BlackBerry Bold in ‘09.

There’s one thing I know won’t change no matter what year it is and that’s being married to my wonderful husband. 2008 was a great year for Chris and I. We celebrated our one year anniversary, grew as a couple and a family and have realized more than ever how much in love we truly are. I love him no matter what and can’t wait to see what life is like in 2089 with him.

So, the plans for 2009 so far is to buy a new home. A permanent home. I am so done with moving and would like to never have it as an option unless we make it an option. I’d also like to do some traveling once we do get comfortable in the new year and new home. Ultimately, I want to take Sean to Florida to see his other side of the family and go to Disney World. I’d like to travel to other places I still haven’t had the chance to go to. I’ve been to many places but there are still that I have yet to see and would love to share that with my family.

My website has grown quite a bit in 2008. I get a ton of visitors and new subscribers all the time. The traffic to my site has increased immensely throughout the year and I plan for it to only get better. I’ll be adding some new things and maybe changing some current things. It’s always a work in progress.

Overall, the year has been great and I can only imagine that things will be getting better. I am enjoying the new chapter in our lives and can’t wait to see what happens in the next chapter.

Perhaps another child? We’ll see, I’m still up in the air on if I want to have other kids whether now or later or at all.

Let It Snow!

17 Days Until Christmas!

It’s snowed a few times already this year but all have amounted to nothing, but then Friday night it snowed again and this time it meant business. It was sticking! I love the snow! I’ve also been eager to test out my new car’s all wheel drive in the snow and I must say, like a dream! Absolutely wonderful!

Bring on the snow betches!

Driving in Cincinnati, OH

With my new found fascination with making short videos and editing them, I have another one for you. This video is what it’s like to drive in Cincinnati, OH. For safety reasons, the voyage does not document any personal routes to or from my house or the houses of friends or family. I was simply running some errands and decided to capture it on video to share.

I think I am running out of ideas already. Oh well.

At the car wash, yeah…

I’m starting to see a pattern here. I’ve discovered that I like to make videos of my daily activities.

Today, I decided to wash my car because it needed it pretty badly. I had been wanting to do it for a while now, but it’s been raining a lot lately, and I’m sure, now that I’ve gotten it washed, it will probably rain tonight or tomorrow, but that’s ok. She needed to get the bugs out of her teeth anyways.

When I bought my car last month, we also got the privilege to get a lifetime of free car washes. I have tried to go a few times, but apparently it has been closed for remodeling. Figures, right? Well, a few days ago, I get this letter in the mail from the dealership with information on how to use the car wash, get my free washes, etc. It also mentioned that it is supposed to re-open the week of July 14th. Mind you, today is July 23rd. Naturally, you would think it is more than safe to say that it should be open.

I gather my son, drop him off with my sister because he started crawling today and she wanted to see it, so I left him with her and took two of my nieces with me to get the car washed, in which I paid $7.00 for.

Here’s a video of the adventure. You can randomly hear Alli and Kyla in the background.
