eBaying My Way To An iPhone

Posted by Carla | BlackBerry, Updates, iPhone | Sunday 21 September 2008 9:52 am

So I’ve done it. I’ve listed my former BlackBerry, the 8100 Pearl on eBay. Because I am still iffy on buying an iPhone, I have decided not to invest actual money into it, but to sell my old Blackberry on eBay in hopes to sell it for the amount of an iPhone so that if it doesn’t work out between the iPhone and I, then at least I haven’t lost anything.

As you should know by now, a previous entry has gone through the contemplations of jumping on the iPhone bandwagon and giving up my wonderful Blackberry. Well, why not have both? This is my way of giving the iPhone a trial while keeping my Blackberry as a backup. The only thing I need to do is change my data plan and put my SIM card into whichever phone. It’s quite simple.

Should I do it? Should I go to the Mac side and get an iPhone? Let me know!

By the way, if you’re possibly interested in buying my Blackberry Pearl, let me know and I will send you the link to my eBay auction or do some under the table business with you!

Under Construction

Obviously, this is a new blog. Kind of boring without anything else going on, eh? Well, that’s going to change. I am currently in the process of adding a website to the mix. I have it up and running but I’m currently filling it with content.

I am a little more than surprised that I even have this blog going, and going well. Where I was able to conjur up the time to do this, I do not know, but I wish I could do it for everything I don’t have the time to do.  All in all, I did put it together and I am very happy with the outcome and look forward to building further along.

I don’t plan to make the site as large as my old one, simply because I can’t manage it as well as I would like with the lack of free time I have these days. I do plan, however, to make it useful to people and myself.

On other notes, my son, Sean, is now to the point where we need to lower his crib. He’s starting to go from a laying position to a sitting position on his own. One day while I was at work and my mother had him, like she normally does, she went in to get him after his nap and he was sitting up with his hands holding on to the side of the crib peeking over like he was about to pull himself up. I can only imagine how cute it was, but knowing that, the next day when I was about to get up to feed him his breakfast, I feared that I would walk in to find him on the floor because we hadn’t lowered his crib yet and I knew he was getting to the point where it needed to be done. Thankfully he was fine, lying in his crib hands and feet everywhere with a huge smile on his face, happy to see me!

Today, Chris, my husband, will be taking the time to lower the crib for Sean’s safety! Unfortunately, I am on the short side and have trouble leaning over to kiss him as it is and now I will have even more trouble with it being lower. *sigh*

Sean is now 8 months old and handsome as hell. He still isn’t crawling, nor holding his own bottle. I know, I know! He’s too old not to hold his bottle. It can be frustrating at times, but maybe he just loves the time with mommy and daddy. I can’t really complain too much because I enjoy it, but for developemental purposes, he needs to get on it! He’s on the verge of crawling and I give it a matter of time. I also think that not long after he starts crawling he will begin walking. He’s already trying to pull himself up and is very leggy. I would actually prefer that he walks instead of crawls.

Just four more months before his first birthday! I’m already planning a small idea of things in my head. I’m pretty eager because it’s a first for all of us and I want to make it really special for him. Although, he won’t remember it, but that doesn’t mean we should just ignore it or not give it the necessary attention.

So, if you have any feedback for the under construction website or blog, let me know. I am interested in hearing any constructive criticism or ideas.

Hide and Seek

Welcome readers to a new world. A world in which my blog exists on my own dot com. To be quite honest, I’ve had this dot com for almost a year now, but haven’t had the drive, creativity or time to actually put something here. I have made many attempts to start a website that rivaled the one I had years ago, but every time I would try to put it together, I would end up not liking it and would just delete all the work I put into it. That won’t happen this time. I am quite satisfied with my current work in progress.

Those of you whom have been reading my previous blogs, I do apologize for sending you on a wild goose chase to the end of the internet to read my mindless self indulgences, but I assure you, this is the last time.

Without going into too much detail, I was forced to delete my previous blog due to people not of the friendly persuasion reading up on me without my knowledge and definitely without my approval. And, that is where the title of this blog entry comes into play — Hide and Seek. I hide, they seek. End of story.

Please stay tuned for more blogs, less hiding and lots of entertainment — that is if you enjoy reading about my daily life, hearing my sometimes less than interesting thoughts and enjoying a good laugh.
